The Brief

Demonstrate smart street lighting and IoT control to utility buyers

The Approach

Utility buyers at Electronica specify from evidence. SLS needed to prove that its smart street lighting and IoT control platform worked as an integrated system, which is difficult to demonstrate with brochures and control-panel photographs.

Design, Production & Execution

So the design put the real thing indoors. A working street-light pole is installed within the stand at full height - the most direct possible demonstration of the product in its actual form - and a curved wall of application panels wraps behind it, explaining the control layer, network and use cases that the pole alone cannot show. The curve pulls visitors around the exhibit rather than past it, turning a single object into a walkable sequence.

Outcome

Installing a street-light pole inside an exhibition hall is a structural and compliance exercise. The base was engineered as a weighted, concealed foundation to hold the pole without floor fixing, load-tested before shipping, and the electrical installation was designed for temporary-venue supply with proper isolation and certification. The curved application wall was fabricated in segments to hold its radius accurately, with panel graphics pre-mounted so the site programme stayed short.
