The Brief

Present flexo plate technology across a large open-plan hall stand

The Approach

drupa runs long and visitors stay all day, so a large open-plan stand has to hold interest for hours rather than minutes. Miraclon needed its flexo plate technology presented across a substantial footprint without the space becoming a hall within a hall.

Design, Production & Execution

The design breaks the plot into themed zones, each with its own subject and character, so the stand rewards a walk rather than a glance and gives hosts a natural route to lead customers along. A full-height sample wall provides the technical centre of gravity - real plates and printed results at scale - while an open cafe-style hospitality area gives visitors a reason to stay and gives the sales team somewhere to continue conversations that start on the floor.

Outcome

Large-format builds live or die on logistics. The stand was zoned in fabrication as well as design, with each area built and finished as a set of modules so production could run in parallel and installation could progress on several fronts at once. The hospitality area was engineered with service, power and waste routes planned into the build, and the sample wall was constructed as a system allowing accurate mounting and mid-show replacement. Install was sequenced zone by zone with commissioning completed a full day before doors.
