The Brief
Present the professional haircare range in a calm retail environment
The Approach
Cosmoprof is loud, dense and relentless. Keune's professional haircare proposition depends on the opposite: an unhurried, expert conversation. The stand's job was to manufacture calm inside a hall that offers none.
Design, Production & Execution
The design uses a white vertical-slat screen wall to do it. The slats filter light and sightlines, dropping visual noise the moment a visitor steps inside, and they enclose a private consultation room where salon professionals can be advised properly. Open product shelving runs the accessible face of the stand, so the range stays browsable and self-service for passing traffic while the considered conversations happen behind the screen. Two speeds of visitor, one architecture.
Outcome
Slat walls only feel calm if they are perfect - variable spacing reads as cheapness instantly. Slats were machined to identical section and set out on a jig with fixings concealed behind the carrying frame, and the wall was trial-assembled off-site to verify rhythm and alignment along its full length. The white finish was sprayed under controlled conditions and edge-protected in transit, and the consultation room was pre-built with its lighting, seating and storage so the on-site programme stayed short and clean.
