The Brief
Drive footfall and product trial on a busy beauty floor
The Approach
Colour cosmetics sell on trial. Astra Make-Up needed a Cosmoprof stand that maximised the number of people who picked something up and tried it - which meant removing every barrier between the aisle and the product.
Design, Production & Execution
The design takes almost everything away at floor level. The stand is an open retail floor with testing stations distributed across it, no counters guarding the perimeter and no single controlled entrance, so visitors drift in from any direction and are within arm's reach of product immediately. The brand presence is moved entirely overhead: a suspended illuminated banner ring holds Astra's identity above the crowd, visible across the hall precisely because nothing at eye level is competing with it.
Outcome
Everything about that concept depends on the rig. The banner ring was engineered for its suspension points and hall rigging limits, with load calculations submitted for organiser approval, built in sections and trial-assembled to confirm the circle and the graphic alignment. Illumination was integrated and tested before dispatch. On site, rigging was completed first while the floor was clear, then testing stations were placed, stocked and dressed - a sequence that also made daily replenishment straightforward through the show.
