The Brief

Present the BOPP and lamination film range to converters

The Approach

Films are almost invisible as products - clear, thin and, on a stand, easy to overlook. Cosmo Films needed interpack to make a BOPP and lamination range physically compelling to converters who specify on optical and surface properties.

Design, Production & Execution

The design uses light as the display medium, because that is how film is actually judged. A long backlit product wall drives illumination through the material so clarity, finish and optical quality become visible from the aisle, and lit sample niches let individual films be examined properly at close range. Overhead, a suspended illuminated banner ring carries the brand into hall airspace, giving a low-profile product category a high-profile presence.

Outcome

Even backlighting across a long wall is the fabrication challenge - hot spots or banding would misrepresent the product. The wall was built as a modular backlit system with diffusion and lamp spacing sample-tested for luminance evenness before production, and sample niches were pre-wired with matched lighting so every film reads on equal terms. The banner ring was load-calculated for its rigging points, approved, sectionally built and trial-assembled, then rigged first on site while the floor was still clear.
