The Brief
Stage automotive launches where the vehicle reveal is the entire event
The Approach
An automotive launch has a single moment that matters, and it lasts a few seconds. Everything before the reveal is preparation and everything after is reaction, so the production exists to protect one cue - which is the opposite of how most events are planned.
Design, Production & Execution
The design starts from the reveal and works backwards. The vehicle's final position, the angle it will be photographed from, the lighting state that shows its lines and surfaces properly, and the audience sightlines that make the moment land are all fixed first; the rest of the set, the stage, the presenter positions and the run of show are then designed to serve that. Lighting is treated as automotive lighting rather than event lighting - controlled, directional, specified to show form and paint finish rather than to fill a room.
Outcome
The reveal mechanism is a fabrication and rehearsal problem. Staging is engineered for vehicle weight, load paths and drive-on or lift access, with the mechanics built and tested under load before the show rather than trusted on the night. Vehicle handling, cue timing, lighting states and AV are rehearsed as an integrated sequence, with a fallback for every automated element - because a reveal that stalls in front of press and dealers cannot be repeated.
