The Brief
Present curtain and textile collections in a lifestyle setting
The Approach
Textiles are bought on hand-feel, drape and colour - all of which are destroyed by the flat white light of a standard exhibition build. SN Home Decor needed Heimtextil to present curtain and textile collections the way they would actually be seen in a home.
Design, Production & Execution
The design inverts the usual exhibition palette. Dark timber cladding replaces white walls, giving fabrics a rich ground to read against and lending the stand the atmosphere of an interior rather than a trade booth. A cluster of suspended ring pendants provides warm, layered, domestic light instead of overhead flood, and a sample feature wall presents the collections at full drop so buyers can assess weight and fall properly rather than from a swatch.
Outcome
The lighting design drove fabrication. Pendant positions, heights and circuits were fixed early and pre-wired into the rigged structure so the cluster could be installed as a coordinated set, with lamp colour temperature selected and tested against actual fabric samples in the workshop to confirm true colour rendering. Timber cladding was finished off-site and protected in transit, and the feature wall was built with a hanging system allowing full-drop display and quick collection changes across the show.
