The Brief
Attract food-industry investment into Ras Al Khaimah's free zones
The Approach
RAK Investment Authority came to AIM Congress to attract food-industry investment into Ras Al Khaimah's free zones. The audience is small, senior and decision-capable, so the pavilion had to project institutional authority and then convert attention into seated meetings.
Design, Production & Execution
The design uses a gold-and-white framed portal as the entry gesture - restrained, formal, unmistakably an authority rather than a company. Inside, multi-screen storytelling carries the free-zone proposition in sequence, allowing the offer to be explained without a presenter, and dedicated meeting tables are set as the destination rather than an afterthought. The pavilion is deliberately arranged so that the natural path through the content ends at a chair.
Outcome
Gold finishes are where fabrication quality shows or fails. Frame sections were finished under controlled conditions and edge-protected for transit, with joints detailed to fall at natural breaks so no seam lands mid-span. Screen positions, mounts and cable routes were built into the portal structure in the workshop, and content was loaded and tested on the installed hardware ahead of opening, so the pavilion ran through the congress without a technical interruption.
