The Brief
Present glass-lined reactors and drying systems to pharma and chemical buyers
The Approach
HLE Glascoat came to CPHI & P-MEC with a problem most heavy-engineering brands face at a pharma show: the product is the proof, but the product weighs several tonnes. The brief was to put a real glass-lined reactor on the floor and still leave room for the private, technical conversations that actually close business in this sector.
Design, Production & Execution
The design answer was an island layout organised around a single hero object. A raised structural plinth lifts the reactor above sightlines so it reads from across the hall, and an illuminated canopy overhead frames it as an exhibit rather than a machine parked in a corner. The remaining floor is deliberately quiet - clean white surfaces, restrained brand colour and a seated meeting lounge set back from the aisle, so specification discussions happen without competing with footfall.
Outcome
Fabrication was driven by load. The plinth was engineered around the reactor's point loading and the hall's floor limits, then built and dry-assembled in the workshop so the canopy, lighting runs and cable routes could be proven before anything shipped. On site the sequence ran plinth first, product placement second, canopy and lighting last - the only order that keeps a stand of this weight safe and on schedule for opening.
